Dress up day at Super Duper Arts camp 8-8-14.  Her group was "Queens and Kings."  I can't even.  I mean, the foot, the face, the hands on hip.

Tomorrow Frisco turns 6!!!!  You are in Kindergarten at the Oaks!  You insist you don't like it but I suspect you really do.  You love Star wars and legos and soccer and Wyatt!  You saw the Lego movie and loved it.  You are funny and playful and curious and gentle and I can see you being the class clown.  You'll do anything for a laugh, including peeing in your own face.  Yes, you read correctly.  You have peed in your own face to make your sisters laugh (on more than one occasion).  You do Jiu Jitsu and gymnastics and are starting to take Spanish and baseball.  Sometimes your sisters drive you crazy but most of the time you love hanging out with them.  We are listening to The Doll People on an audiobook in the car.  You are so SPECIAL and we love you more than you could ever know!!!!!

SUMMER IS HERE.  Welp, this blog is not exactly proving to be the regularly updated documentation of precious family moments i had originally intended.  We have had a great year.  Last week, Lila finished first grade, Frisco finished preschool at The Oaks, and Addie finished her year at the Sunshine Shack and will start Walther on July 1st for summer camp.  This year, Lila learned how to read (and recently finished her first chapter book, Stella Batts.  Frisco discovered Legos.  He will sit for HOURS building a Lego building or airplane from start to finish, and Addie made a best friend: Willow Nolan.  Here are some photos, not because they are necessarily the best ones of our family, but because they are the ones I have on my computer.

Addie and Willow in their favorite position.

On our way to the Four Season pool to visit Ma and Pop Pop.  I can't take that stomach.  To think Addie had to be fed through a tube in her nose at one time, her round belly gives me so much joy!

A photo from one of Ma and Pop Pop's visits.

Taken at The Walther School Lemonade stand.

Pool time fun.  They love each other so.

Jared and Addie on Memorial Day -- at the Reich's pool party

Lila "lost" two teeth.  (really Dr Michelle pulled them cause the grown up teeth had already grown in behind them)
And, of course, May is Miss Sophie dance recital.  Frisco was a hip hop star!!

I can't believe I haven't posted since frisco's birthday!  I'm so happy to report life has been fantastic!  mark left for nyc to shoot Royal Pains on march 18th and, while it's been challenging at times, my mom and aunt meryl have been so helpful.  cousin Jared is living with us for a month as he is doing an internship at The Audience.  The kids love him SO much and it's been amazing to have his company.  Lila, Frisco and Addie are turning into such amazing people right before my very eyes.  Addie is such a funny, loving, affectionate, fun, and STRONG kid.  She is very into her babies these days.  She has three favorites and they are ALL named "Mack."  Not even Mack 1, 2 and 3.  Just "Mack."  (sometimes Mackie).  She loves to spend time with me and in the morning asks me "you stay home all day?"  and when i say I have to go out she confirms "but you be back?  and then you stay all day?"  She's beyond adorable.  Favorite quotes of hers are "Me all done now."  Or "No me all done now."  "Memba?"  "You say me all day?"  "Hold me all day."  "you be back?"

Edward came over for a playdate with frisco and they played a little soccer and Frisco has been looking forward to a "tournament" with me, Jared, Mimi and Lila.  Today we finally played and it was a very close game but the "goyls" won by a point.  When he realized what had happened, he turned his back to us and just burst into tears.  It was so sweet and heartbreaking at the same time.  I think the AYSO youth league will be great for him as he really did enjoy the playing until that moment.

Today was a bad day for Lila in that she got hit in the forehead with our great backyard swing.  She was so scared at first but then Jared brought home some art supplies and her mind was taken off of it.  Dr Sloninsky arranged a plastic surgeon to come in and see her and when i got there i realized it was that guy on the reality show!  but he was really nice and did a good job.  she needed one stitch and was very brave.

Just a regular Sunday!

FRISCO'S 4th BIRTHDAY!!!

We all had such a great time at Frisco's 4th Bday, which took place in our backyard, at 2:30 today.  It was billed as a "fireman, Spiderman, pirate, dinosaur, dot party" on the invite, but, in the past two weeks, Frisco has become so obsessed with dinosaurs he pretty much forgot about everything else.  So, except for Spiderman table cloths, it was all dinosaur: Dinosaur cake, Dinosaur craft, a Dinosaur treasure hunt, and the best party guy EVER.  Adam, (aka "safari guy") made dinosaur balloons and entertained the kids for 2 hours doing... Well, I actually don't even know cause I was talking to other parents, but Mark video-taped the whole thing.

On Saturday, Frisco's actual Birthday, he said to me "I'm too shy to be four."  So precious.  He and Lila are having a sleepover tonight.  It's a special thing because no school tomorrow and it's his Birthday.  Sometimes I think we should let them sleep together every night but then... it's 8:45 and they are still chatting and giggling.  I want to remember every moment of our lives right now.  It is so good!

Summer and Back to School

we spent july in nyc at Ali and Jack Schneider's apartment on East 75th street.  Lila and Frisco went to camp for three weeks at Temple Israel.  In August, we rented a house in Bridgehampton (41 Woodruff Lane).  We spent lots of great family time-- with Ma and Pop Pop and Uncle Eric and Aunt Rebecca and cousin Jacob and also with Mimi, Grandpa, Aunt Amanda and John.  Highlights were going to Wolfer Vineyards for a picnic and live music on friday night, going to the beach (the kids' favorite was called Scott Cameron), and hanging out with Charlie and Layla (and Alex Gaines for me!).  it was so fun.  Lila and Frisco also went to the Art Farm camp, which they still talk about (though in the moment, they weren't always so psyched to go).  There was a pony named Cisco, who was a big hit.  We had a nanny named Wendy who Addie hated.  In fact, if Addie was crying at night and Wendy went in, Addie would say "no. Sleep" and lie back down.  It was the one plus side.  Here are some pics from the summer.

It was really a perfect summer.  Aunt Meryl flew home with us and stayed for three weeks.  The kids love her so much!  And, of course, Mimi was here and saved the day since Mark is working in NYC till Oct 16th.  Lila started Kindergarten at LCW and Frisco started at Walther.  Both of them are so happy.  Every morning, Addie wishes she could come- she says "addie, go!  Me, go!"  On the few mornings she gets to come to do drop off, she is so happy.  She continues to blow us away every day.  Lila and Frisco love her so much (even though she sometimes pinches and hits them).  But she is so loving, so affectionate, and has such a love for life.  She is very strong-willed.  There really is no reasoning with her if she makes up her mind about something.  And the best news is that we were "upgraded" to cardiology appointments from every  3 months to every 6 months.  She is in the 50%percentile for weight (and 20th for height) and eats like a champion.  We are so, so blessed.  I love them so much it hurts!
